For Direct Support Positions (DSP)

The hourly wage for most direct support positions is $17.00 an hour.  There are schedules that are Monday through Friday for our day programs or a wider range of hours within our residential program – we have something for everyone!  We offer shift stipends for evenings, weekends, and overnights.
We have a substantial pay stipend program for working in a residential setting for evening, weekend, or overnight hours.  
  • An extra .50 cents an hour for hours worked between 4pm and 10pm Monday through Thursday.  
  • An extra $2 an hour for hours worked between 4pm and 10pm on Friday.
  • For hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 10pm, employees receive $2 an hour.  
  • For overnight positions between the hours of 10pm and 8am, employees receive an additional $3 an hour.  

Benefits & Perks

Time off

Full time and part time employees receive 8 paid holidays a year.  For holidays that fall on weekend days, residential employees receive holiday pay on the actual day, while the rest of the agency receives holiday pay on either the Friday or Monday.

Paid Sick Leave

Arc GLOW employees begin to accrue sick leave immediately and are eligible to use this time as needed.

Vacation Time

Full time and part time employees begin to accrue vacation time immediately and can use that time after six months of benefit eligible employment.  

The amount accrued increases with longevity.  Full time employees accrue:
  • 10 days of vacation in their first year of employment.  
  • 15 days of vacation in years 2 through 4
  • 20 days of vacation in years 5 through 9
  • 25 days of vacation with 10+ years of service


Employees are eligible immediately begin contributing to the 401k.  After one year of employment the agency match of 5% begins.  Employer contributions are on a 5 year vesting schedule.
